Just show up\, have a hit and enjoy the afternoon. \nGames are short\, social and easy to play\, with creative theme rounds\, music across the diamonds and a relaxed community atmosphere. \nWhether you bring a team of friends or sign up on your own\, Sunday Sluggers is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to get involved in baseball in Darwin. \nSeason starts 10 May at Tracy Village Baseball Field. \nCompetition Details\nLocationTracy Village Baseball Field28 Tambling Terrace\, Lyons NT \nSeason Start10 May 2026 \nGame Format \n• 60 minute games• Slow pitch format that is easy for beginners to hit• Players hit off a tee after four balls• Safety balls are used• No stealing or advancing on wild pitches• Six run cap per inning \nThese small rule adjustments help keep the games fast\, safe and enjoyable for players of all abilities. \n\nWho Can Play\nSunday Sluggers is open to anyone aged 14 years and over. \nTeams can be made up of friends\, workplaces\, social groups\, families or sporting clubs. Individuals who do not have a team can also register and will be placed into one. \nTeam structure \n• Up to 14 players per team• 9 to 11 players on the field at one time• Minimum of 7 players required to start a game• Mixed teams with at least 3 women on the field \nNo previous baseball experience is required and all playing equipment is provided. \n\nTheme Rounds\nInstead of traditional uniforms\, Sunday Sluggers will feature themed rounds throughout the season. \nTeams are encouraged to get creative and dress according to the weekly theme. Whether it is costumes\, coordinated outfits or a hilarious team concept\, creativity is encouraged. \nOur game officials\, known as the Funpires\, may even reward teams that go all out with bonus runs. \n\nGame Day Experience\nSunday Sluggers is designed to be more than just a game of baseball. \nEach Sunday afternoon will feature a relaxed social atmosphere with music across the diamonds\, food and drink available\, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people. \nGames are quick and fun\, creating a social environment where everyone can participate and enjoy the afternoon. \n\nRegistration Options\nPlayers can join Sunday Sluggers in two ways.
