Looking for something new to do on a Sunday afternoon?
Sunday Sluggers is a fun, beginner friendly social baseball competition where the focus is on mates, music and good times. No experience is needed and all equipment is provided. Just show up, have a hit and enjoy the afternoon.
Games are short, social and easy to play, with creative theme rounds, music across the diamonds and a relaxed community atmosphere.
Whether you bring a team of friends or sign up on your own, Sunday Sluggers is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to get involved in baseball in Darwin.
Season starts 10 May at Tracy Village Baseball Field.

Game Format
• 60 minute games
• Slow pitch format that is easy for beginners to hit
• Players hit off a tee after four balls
• Safety balls are used
• No stealing or advancing on wild pitches
• Six run cap per inning
These small rule adjustments help keep the games fast, safe and enjoyable for players of all abilities.
Who Can Play
Sunday Sluggers is open to anyone aged 14 years and over.
Teams can be made up of friends, workplaces, social groups, families or sporting clubs. Individuals who do not have a team can also register and will be placed into one.
Team structure
• Up to 14 players per team
• 9 to 11 players on the field at one time
• Minimum of 7 players required to start a game
• Mixed teams with at least 3 women on the field
No previous baseball experience is required and all playing equipment is provided.
Theme Rounds
Instead of traditional uniforms, Sunday Sluggers will feature themed rounds throughout the season.
Teams are encouraged to get creative and dress according to the weekly theme. Whether it is costumes, coordinated outfits or a hilarious team concept, creativity is encouraged.
Our game officials, known as the Funpires, may even reward teams that go all out with bonus runs.
Game Day Experience
Sunday Sluggers is designed to be more than just a game of baseball.
Each Sunday afternoon will feature a relaxed social atmosphere with music across the diamonds, food and drink available, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people.
Games are quick and fun, creating a social environment where everyone can participate and enjoy the afternoon.
Registration Options
Players can join Sunday Sluggers in two ways. You can register a team with your friends or workplace, or sign up as an individual and be placed into a team.
Team Registration
Teams can enter the competition by completing the team registration form.
Team Registration Fee
$100 per player
Once your team is registered, each player will receive an individual registration link via email to complete their player registration.

Individual Registration
Players who do not have a team can register individually and will be placed into a team by the competition organisers.
This is a great option for people who want to try baseball for the first time or meet new people through a social sporting competition.
