2020/2021 Annual Member Survey – NOW OPEN

Published Mon 24 May 2021

The Board and Staff of Baseball NT are pleased to invite all members to provide feedback and thoughts on Territory Baseball over the past year and into the future.

Below is a link to a short, anonymous survey. This years survey differs from previous years, as it will include similarities allowing us to compare our performance year to year, but this year we have added a strategic review section.

The Board of Baseball NT will be conducting a strategic review in July and your responses here will shape Territory Baseball for the future years.

We thank you in advance for your time and insights, they are greatly appreciated.

Reflecting on the 19/20 Member Survey:

You told us the most important thing for Baseball NT to do in 2020/2021 is recruit and retain junior members.

Over the past 12 months we have addressed this by:

  1. Committing to the reduced $20 Junior Membership Fee for 2020/2021 & 2021/2022
  2. Creating and implementing the Juniors Playing Senior Baseball Policy
  3. Partnering with the Brisbane Bandits to deliver the NT Youth Showcase
  4. Growing our reach in primary schools by 600%

This has resulted in a 53% increase in our Junior Membership across the Territory.

Communication with Members remains a high priority. However, from 2018/19 to 2019/20 this area went from being where you were most dissatisfied to most satisfied.

Over the past 12 months we have continued to address this by also adding:

  1. A monthly email newsletter to all members
  2. More regular and engaging content on our social media and website
  3. A multi-faceted approach to delivering infromation
  4. Board reports shared directly to Clubs and Associations

Facility Upgrades rounded out the top three highest priorities.

Over the past 12 months we have addressed this by:

  1. Providing much needed lighting upgrades to Tracy Village Baseball Fields
  2. Working closely with government and local stakeholders on a new proposed facility in Palmerston
  3. Partnering with Baseball Australia and Alice Springs Town Council to bring Lyel Kempster Baseball Park up to international standards

We aim to continue building on this momentum in 2021/2022.
