BRIAN VIDLER HONOURED WITH LIFE MEMBERSHIP

The Board of Baseball NT wishes to congratulate Brian Vidler on being awarded Life Membership.

Brian has given his time and passion to Territory Baseball over the past 21 years.

Originally from Queensland, Brian moved to Darwin in 1999 to be the Baseball NT Development Officer, a position he held for 2 years prior to moving to Alice Springs. During this time Brian has been a vital part of junior pathways, being the assistant coach for 2 NT teams and head coach of 11 teams. Brian still holds the head coaching position of the 2021 representative teams.

Brian has also shared his vast coaching knowledge at the Australian Major League Academy on the Gold Coast, and the Baseball Confederation of Oceania (BCO) Academy in Darwin, New Caledonia, and Guam.

He continues to volunteer in his local association, including coaching, umpiring, field preparation, and everything in between.

Baseball NT’s General Manager, Gemma Scales, was thrilled to share the news.

“Brian is currently playing a pivotal role in the NT’s return to the national stage,” she said, “After 20+ years of service to Territory Baseball his continued dedication and passion for junior baseball is inspiring, he is highly deserving of this honour.”
