Team Donald Smack Four Hits, Lose To Team Travis

Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Team Travis and Team Donald where Team Donald lost 9-7.

Team Donald opened up scoring in the first inning when Shaun Erickson drew a walk, scoring one run.

Team Travis took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Owen Copestick drew a walk, scoring one run and Braden McCain singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Team Travis scored three runs in the third inning. Team Travis’s big inning was driven by a walk by Hamish Materne and a groundout by Johnathan Pollard.

Matthew Tee was on the pitcher’s mound for Team Travis. The ace lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing one hit and four runs while striking out one.

Aaron McVeigh toed the rubber for Team Donald. The pitcher allowed one hit and five runs over one-third of an inning. Jamie McCain threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

McCain, Erickson, Gauge Larmon, and Jaxon Brown each managed one hit to lead Team Donald.
